Ford releases a car to challenge some of the big boys. With the new 2013 Mustang being tuned out of this world with a lot of changes, Ford kept the muscle car image but enhanced it a little. Most muscle cars are famous for having big engines with soft handling which boarders dangerous. Well Ford decided to change this by testing the new Mustang at the world famous Nürburgring, Germany. Stiffening the suspension set up, reducing the weight, adding greater down force with a front splinter, they attempted to make this muscle car handle like a European sports car. The times they managed to set, well it seems like they achieved the goal as they drowned the direct opponent of the Mustang the Camero ZL1’s lap time around the 14mile one lap circuit. To add to this new found handling performance they increased the horse power and speed. The new lower level 5.0 litre V8 pumps out 420bhp when filled with premium fuel. The top end super charged V8 manual, might as well be running on a nuclear reactor as it blasts out 650bhp and can top out at 200mph which is Fords fastest ever Mustang off the production line. For this Ford is starting the Super Charged Shelby GT 500 at $55,000 which may sound a lot but for the performance... it might be cheapest car to hit 200mph. I also think this is certainly the best looking car of the new Mustang era, and will surely go down in history.
