The Impreza and Evo series have been rivals since the very beginning. Both are world rally dominators and built to specifications that are set by the WRC federation. These cars have always been 2.0 litre turbo charged four wheel drive animals. The only reason these cars ever hit our streets is due to WRC rules you can only race cars that are mass produced. So Subaru and Mitsubishi design the rally cars they want to what specs they need and at the end put some comfortable seats and softer suspension in and pretty much put them on sale with some luxuries to boot. Both cars turn out well over 300bhp from those turbo charged 2.0 engines and the power comes with frightening ferocity as your innards try to escape through the back of your chair. Not only is the car quick in straight lines but are both designed to rocket through corners with endless amounts of grips being provided from the 4x4 system. These cars are evenly priced and evenly equipped but for me the Evo is that little bit more. A little bit more car, a little more fun, slightly better looking and sounds amazing. Both amazing pieces of machinery but the Evo is what does it for me.
