Jaguar finally came into the 21st century and the
XKR-S helped let the people know they have arrived. This car was a marker as
Jaguar has changed the focus of the company and is looking for younger
successful buyers to help change the old image. The new XK was a good car but
the XKR-S upgrade is a great car with a more powerful 5.0 V8 that snarls like a
rabid dog barking out a beastly 542 horses. The aggressive gashes in the body
work show the intention of this revamped and strengthened car. Now being able
to reach 186mph after pouncing from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and everybody heard you
do it with the sound of this V8 being untamed.... and did I mention that this
V8 has now been supercharged so this speed comes in a raw and continues wave. Jaguar
has left the old men at the golf course and came down to the bars to see what
is happening in a world of i-pods and twitters. A great start and hopefully
jaguar don’t slide back into the old ways anytime soon.
